Qatar Airways has recently announced changes to the redemption charges for Avios in their Privilege Club loyalty program. Previously, the airline used to apply a segment-wise redemption fee for Economy Class and Business Class tickets. However, the charges have now been recalibrated to a distance-based structure.

Under the new redemption fee policy, the fees have decreased by up to 15% or remained unchanged on popular short and medium-haul routes. However, on long-haul and ultra-long-haul segments, the fees will be higher than before.
