In a major move towards sustainability, Royal Caribbean Group has joined forces with technology company Wärtsilä to enhance the eco-friendliness of its cruise ships. The five-year agreement covers 37 ships in the Royal Caribbean fleet and focuses on improving engine efficiency, reducing fuel consumption, and minimizing emissions. By entrusting Wärtsilä with engine maintenance and performance optimization, the cruise line aims to predict and address issues before they cause delays or disruptions.
