Brazilian President, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, is recovering well after undergoing emergency brain surgery to address a brain bleed. The procedure was carried out without complications, and doctors have deemed his recovery as 'excellent.' However, as a precautionary measure, a second minimally invasive procedure, called middle meningeal artery embolization, will be performed to reduce the risk of future bleeding. Lula's personal doctor, Dr Roberto Kalil Filho, reassured reporters that the operation is relatively simple and low risk, lasting approximately an hour.
