Alfenas University History Course Wins International Technology Award

Marília Rocha Lopes da Silva, a former student of the UNIFAL-MG History course, has gained international recognition by winning the Most Impactful Award at the Women In Tech Latin America event held in Lima, Peru, on August 28th. Her groundbreaking project, IT For Girls, focuses on empowering women in technology.
Marília, who graduated in 2016 and joined UNIFAL-MG in 2012, developed a keen interest in gender studies. She credits her formative experiences at UNIFAL-MG, particularly the guidance and support of professors Raphael Sebrian and Marta Rovai, for shaping her academic journey.
